                                          Godzilla

Dedicated to all the true pirate, and Godzilla fans Out there

“What is big, green, and likes to eat trains?”  Well, whatever it is, it sure isn’t Godzilla.  Undoubtedly Godzilla is big, but he is really gray, except the 2000 Godzilla.  Godzilla only put a train in his mouth to test it and spit it back out, like a shark or a human toddler would.   Many people could care less about Godzilla, and thus don’t know why the Japanese Godzilla characteristics are far superior to the American Godzilla’s, and because of this lack of knowledge, people must be educated, mostly because, the Japanese Godzilla is a true classic, and was made to help cope with the banned on WWII movies. The Japanese made a whole line of films with the grey giant, then all of a sudden this new movie comes in with the name Godzilla slapped on it. Godzilla became popular in America. The minority of Godzilla fans first rejoiced. Not because the film was so great, but others felt their passion for Godzilla. Soon they realized that no one truly cared about the “real” Godzilla. The Godzilla fad came and went. The Japanese continued to make Godzilla films, while the American  Godzilla died with one movie.
To lessen the confusion for the reader and me, I’ll be giving the Godzillas nicknames.  To the America Godzilla, I’ll give Gino, which a slang term Godzilla fans have given him. Gino is an acronym for Godzilla In Name Only. The Japanese Godzilla will be nicknamed Gojira, which is his original name before it was Americanized. If you, the dear  reader, get confused about the names refer back to this paragraph.
In sports such as; wrestling and boxing, the fighters are classed by weight. Gino weighs in at 500 tons, and stands at nearly sixty meters. Our next contender is much bulkier. Gojira can weigh from 20,000 tons to 60,000 tons, and can stand from fifty meters to a hundred meters. Gojira is certainly heavier then Gino, but weight is what slows most things down.
Darwin theorized that it was survival of the fittest that led animals to involve. In many sci-fi films, exposure to radiation made animals evolve or mutate at a much quicker rate. Gino’s mutation is the result of French nuclear testing. The first Gino mutated from a marine iguana. Gojira before being exposed to radiation from the atomic bombs dropped in Japan in WWII,  was nothing but a pile of bones and fossils from various animals. It’s quite surprising that he’s symmetrical.
Darwin also theorized that it was not only survival of the fittest, that led animals to evolve, but how often and how they mate and reproduce. Gino reproduces asexually, which means it’s neither male nor female and can produce offsprings on its own. Over seventy species on earth have this bizarre characteristic. One Gino can repopulate it’s species without difficulty. Gojira on the other hand is sterile, which means he is unable to produce children. Gojira adopts other Gojiras who have formed by other radiation exposures. The major difference between the Godzillas is once all Ginos die, they’re dead. Once all Gojiras die, a similar Gojiras always rise again.
Strength and durability doesn’t always matter in battles, but it’s a fact that should be taken into consideration. The first Gino went to an early grave because of four missiles. Sounds impressive. He stood up to the fist three. However, Gojira needed something with power equal to an atomic bomb. The strange thing is Gojira gets strength from nuclear energy. Like Einstein, Dr.Sericawa worked on a weapon of mass destruction, the oxygen destroyer. And like Einstein, Sericawa regretted making his invention. The oxygen destroyer’s power is equal or possible more than a nuclear explosion. Killing Gojira meant sacrificing hundreds of citizens and wildlife. The oxygen destroyer, once detonated, took it’s inventor as well. This makes Gojira seem almost indestructible.
Godzilla is famous for it’s toxic breath weapon. Gino doesn’t breath a ray of fire or energy, but a a gas. This gas is very flammable, and must be ignited by a spark to produce a flame.  Gojira can simply start breathing a ray of fire. He can make his ray stronger or last longer by charging it on his throat.
What is strength and weaponry without intelligent? But how does one measure intelligent? There are multiply Godzillas, both American and Japanese, and doesn’t intelligence depends on the individual? One Gino can’t tell the difference between a human and a fish if they share the same smell. Another Gino can tell the difference between individual humans despite the smell. Gorjira’s intelligence also varies with the individual. the one who comes out on top here is undetermined. Every creature has something they’re best at; running, jumping, swimming, flying and burrowing.  Gino can do most of the things previously written.  It’s slim body makes him aerodynamic, and he can easily dodge around buildings. Additionally his slim body and strong legs allow it to jump high, and dig deep through the earth. Surprising, Gino can’t swim all that well. It only seems he can swim well because of his mass.  As you might have expected, Gino can’t fly at all. Gojira can’t run nearly as fast as Gino. Gojira can’t really jump either. It’s more like shifting his weight in an upward direction. He can get air beneath him, but not as extreme as Gino, who can jump three times his height.  Digging is not Gojira’s forte. Surprisingly Gojira can swim very well. He can out swim a submarine at full speed, which is much more then one can expect from Gino. Gojira swims by holding his limbs very close to his body and uses his tail as a rudder and propeller. Gojira flying is another story. He flew once in one movie, but that is due to poor script writing(poorer than usual). I doubt he’ll ever do it again.
Many animals choose their domain on what they eat. Gino eats fish and nothing else. Gojia, however, has more of a diverse diet. He eats coconuts, blue whales, humpback whales, grey whales, and can even get his nutrients from nuclear energy. Still, these foods don’t meet up to the nutrients that most non-fictional animals need.
In a nuclear bomb, there is a nuclear chain reaction that occurs in a fraction of a second and is completely uncontrolled. In Godzilla versus Destoroyah, Gojira had a nuclear chain reaction within his body. Scientist in the movie kept comparing Gojira’s melt down to a nuclear reactor, this is incorrect.  A  nuclear reactor is a device in which nuclear chain reaction are ignited , controlled, and sustained at a steady rate which is unlike a nuclear bomb.  Gojira’s chemical make up began to decompose in Godzilla versus Destoroyah, causing a nuclear chain reaction.  Gojira’s internal body temperature got up to 2010 degrees fahrenheit Scientist estimated that once he reached 2050 degrees he would explode, destroying half the world and probably giving the rest cancer. Luckily, the military of the world cooled him down with water and liquid nitrogen. He died shortly after. Gojira stated to melt down because he was old, and near death, which is apparently part of his life cycle. Would Gino start to melt down if he got old enough? I suppose he would. All the same factors caused both Godzillas to mutate, so why can’t they have similar life cycles?  Unfortunately, this topic is still debatable among fans. Perhaps a movie will be made to fill in the blanks about Gino’s life cycle, but until then you are left with my rambling.
This paper concludes with the dreaded Final Wars battle, where the Godzillas fight face to face. The clash lasted only mere seconds. Gojira had just entered Sidney Bay, where Alien X just zapped down Gino.  Gojira started to charge his atomic breath. Gino leapt towards Gojira, who caught on to  Gino’s intention. He smacked Gino into Sidney’s famous opera house. Gino’s senses had dulled from the blow, and the drugs the aliens gave him. Before Gino could stagger up, Gojira released his atomic breath, decimating Gino. I believe this battle was too short. If Gino had his senses about him, the battle could have dragged on longer. The results would stayed the same.
Numerous people cared less about Godzilla, and therefore they didn’t know why the Japanese Godzilla’s characteristics are supercilious when compared to it’s counterpart’s , and hopefully people are now educated, and knowledgeable about which Godzilla is better, because the Japanese Godzilla is a pop culture phenomenon that’ll not die out, unlike the American Godzilla.

KZ: This homework is done by my sister, TeenPirate.
It's very cool! I love it alot!

TP: Yep... I wrote this. I don't think it's written that well. Also, it's not that I don't like Zilla, it's just he's not Godzilla. Could have been a real good film if it was a new monster.
EDIT: This is TeenPirate. I'm here to say neither Godzilla is better. This is strickly my opinion. Also you may find some factual mistakes.

yup, i know what you mean, zilla is no way like godzilla, that's way they somtimes called him GINO (godzilla in name only) because basicly that's all he is. i give the american godzilla movie thumbs up for specail effects, but thumbs down character wise. i like the japanese godzilla way better because he as more personally.

i agree that the battle in final wars could have and should have lasted longer, i also think that Zilla/G.I.N.O. would've been a great monster, if they werent trying to make him into Godzilla, it would be kool to see what zilla would look like if he was shown in a "Burning" form like Godzilla was, p.s. that was a great paper/essay :D
Agreed. Well, I guess I don't need to tell you that, cause it's in in my paper. Thank you for replying.
I should draw him in "burning" form. Thankyou, for the favs,& for agreeing with me. p.s I got an A, but my teacher wouldn't quite bothering me about. All the extra cridit questions were about Godzilla.
yea. u r very welcome :)

Sniping your enemy is like hunting any other animal!
that was really good exept that godzilla dint went into burning mode because he was old. He went like that because birth island is a smolderin place because<its not really said in the movie but anywas> there was a nuclear chain reaction and godzilla absorbed too much radiation thats why he was going mealtdown. other beside that that essay was great.:XD:
